A Word from the President

Greetings to all!
 
BCI’s 2009 convention will take place from June 19th to 21st in City Parks Botanical Garden.  Bonsai conventions are wonderful opportunities to meet other enthusiasts from around the world, see demonstrations by masters you may never see again, and have a great time.  If you haven’t done so already, visit the BCI 2009 convention site at www.bci2009.com and register.  There is nothing like a convention to improve your skills and appreciation of the art of bonsai.
 
Junes GNOBS meeting will take place on June 8th.  Johnny Martinez will do a program on bonsai wiring.  Rick Mouton will kick things off at 7pm with a Bonsai Basics discussion of display stands.  Both Johnny and Rick are highly skilled at what they do.  You will learn a great deal at this meeting.  I look forward to seeing everyone at the June meeting and again at the BCI 2009 convention.
