Cypress

Postby Mechlers2 » Sun Jan 20, 2013 4:53 pm

Finally got to work on the cypress tree I brought to the critiques meeting. Repotted the tree removing all the small rootage which was above the primary base since there were plenty of roots below this area. Also removed the lower branches. I left one as a jin and I can remove later if I do not like it.

Thanks to Randy and Kirk for their input at th meeting. I really do think the tree looks better.

This tree reminds me of one of Guy"s trees on his Facebook page. I agree Cheryl, I think it looks better. You will have to start looking for a nice pot for it soon. One or two more years in a growing pot, and you'll be ready to put it in a bonsai pot. You may want to think of putting it in a larger growing pot, and now would be the time to do that. Nice tree, and thanks for posting pictures.
