This month's meeting was one of the more interesting silhouette shows at GNOBS. There were certainly trees to discuss, but then the saws came out...

Under the heading of "Bigger Is Better", Felix brough in a Bald Cypress

Rick Mouton discusses his Golden Larch. It is thriving in New Orleans against all better judgement.

Stewart and his Japanese Maples

...and that's when the saws came out...

Dylan offers advice

Thin barked trees like this maple should not be cut with knob cuters.

Jim discusses his pomegranite

Bill presents the outgoing president with a gift from the club.

(Johnny will email me and tell me what this tree is...)

Jim brought in a photo of his tree from a year ago. It is important to keep photos of your trees as they develop.

Felix and his Bald Cypress.

Growing in non-draining trays, the roots of the cypress will form knees!

And the saws come out again...

Rick examines the cut...
